Alva Los Angeles, in association with Exhibit A Gallery, is presenting Deck the Halls, an invite-only, charitable silent auction taking place on December 5th, 2009 to coincide with the 4th Anniversary of Alva Los Angeles. Auctioning art is to be provided by artists, pro skaters and musicians among them, Christian Hosoi, Steve Olson, Mark “Gonz” Gonzales and Jason Adams. Not to mention Metallica, Henry Rollins and limited prints of art by kids from The Children’s Hospital. All proceeds from this silent auction will go to the aforementioned The Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

Come celebrate the spirit of the season with Soulwaxmas, Soulwax’s 2009’s tour, celebrating… well, Soulwax. Belgian electro band Soulwax has announced the dates for their annual Soulwaxmas holiday tour, starting with a two night residency at London, England’s O2 Arena on December 11th, and 12th, 2009. The tour hits Manchester on December 16th, Belfast on December 17th, Renfrew on December 18th, then leaves the United Kingdom to return to Belgium for a December 19th show in Merksem. The final event will be a blowout on Christmas Eve Eve (December 23rd, 2009), in Paris’s world famous Grande Halle de la Villette. Still not hyped? Well what if we told you that Soulwax was being joined by British superstar DJ Erol Alkan and German electro-beast Boys Noize? 25 Euros for tickets suddenly doesn’t sound so expensive, does it?
